How long have you been playing basketball? – 4 years.

What made you start playing? – I got interested watching other people play.

What do you love most about basketball? – Meeting new people and making new friends.

What position do you feel most comfortable playing? – Shooting guard

What is your strongest basketball skill? – Defense.

What skill are you working hardest to improve right now? – Shooting and my left hand layups.

How would Coach Malik describe your game? – Hardworking.

What do you focus on before tip-off? – How the other team plays (the scouting report).

 

 How do you stay confident during a tough game?  By reassuring myself and my team.

What does playing hard mean to you? – Putting in all your effort.

What makes a great teammate?  – Picking up teammates when they are down.

How do you contribute to your team even when you’re not scoring? – Playing good defense and passing to my teammates.

Do you see yourself as a leader? Why or why not? – I see myself in the middle, I make sure everyone is on the same track but I also get off track sometimes.

One goal you have for this season – Get better with my overall game.

One long-term basketball goal – To go pro.

What level do you hope to play at in the future? – Hopefully division one but as long as I get to play at a higher level.

Why do you look up to that player? – She inspires me to work my hardest and to never give up.

One word that describes your game – I’ve got two, quick and patient.

One message you want people to know about you as a player -I might not have started playing at a young age but I put in the work and effort to become a better player.

What would you tell someone who wanted to join Cyclones Academy? – Join the team it’s really fun and Coach Malik and the girls are so nice and funny.
